“It all begins and ends with the heart. My passion is to help others meet the heart maker and know His love for them.”

Meet Pastor Steve Hare

Steve Hare’s passion is the driving force behind each and every tool he uses to reach others for God. As the Senior Pastor of a large, diverse congregation in the North East region, Steve maximizes each opportunity to get the message of Christ’s love out to a hurting world.

In 1994 Steve started a radio station 89.1 FM in Wilmington, Delaware which he grew into 20 FM radio stations and is widely known as the Reach Gospel Radio Network (www.ReachGospelRadio.com). This 24/7 music network has a unique personality of being one of the only radio networks that not only plays great hit gospel music, but literally mobilizes street outreach teams that continually go into impoverished and crime ridden areas with the message of God’s love. Day of the Cross is one of these street outreach missions founded by Pastor Steve, where Reach Gospel Radio teams take a huge wooden cross equipped with a sound system and bags of food, toys, and coats into often forgotten and underserved communities. These teams send the message of God’s love echoing through the streets into the hearts of the homeless, children and many people who are deeply hurting, inviting them to pray at the cross.

Another tool of ministry dear to Steve’s heart is Project Restoration, Inc. “A few years ago I was driving along and made a wrong turn into a neighborhood. As I looked around, the houses were boarded up and little children were playing in the street while drug deals were going down on the corner. There was such a feeling of depression. As I fought back tears, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. That’s when I knew things had to change and I wanted to focus every tool God entrusted to me towards making a difference.” After that day, the outreach ministry, Project Restoration, began. Steve started taking teams, not just in this neighborhood, but into many others just like it – picking up children and families on busses transporting them into his suburban church campus for ministry, training and most of all showering them with God’s love. Steve continues to minister to these kids and families twelve months of every year. In 2015, the United Way of Delaware awarded Steve and Faith City Family Church the “Saving Our Sons Organization of the Year Award”

Steve has also served as the chaplain of the Philadelphia Soul Arena Football Franchise. Steve continually remains steadfast in his belief that no matter who you are, no matter where you are in life – it all begins and ends with the heart.

OUR BELIEFS AND VALUES

The beliefs and cores values of Faith City are based on the scriptures and principles of the Word of God.

God’s Word… The Bible

The Bible is God speaking to us off of the pages of the good book. There we find life principles that can help us become all that God intended us to be.

Psalm 119: 11,89,105, Matthew 22:29, 2 Timothy 3:15-17

We believe in the Trinity

God exists as one in three persons, The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. We believe that even though each member of The Trinity has different functions, that they are equal in power and authority.

John 5:21-23, Romans 8: 9-11, Deuteronomy 6:4

The Father

Our God is all-powerful, omnipresent, never changes, and invites us to put all of our trust in Him. You can count on Him to always be good, loving, merciful, compassionate, and faithful.

Malachi 3:6, John 3:16, Acts 17:28

The Son… Jesus Christ

Jesus lived an absolutely perfect life. This was for the purpose of becoming a substitution for us, taking upon Him the penalty of sin in our place. Through His resurrection Jesus defeated death so that we can have eternal life.

Romans 1:3-4, Isaiah 7:14, Galatians 4:4-5

The Holy Spirit

It gives us comfort, spiritual gifts, and empowers us to become more like Jesus Christ.

Romans 8:9-11, Genesis 1:2, Revelation 22:17

Eternity

When God created us he designed us to live and exist forever. Eternal life with Jesus is received through accepting Him by Faith as your savior and Lord.

Romans 6:23, John 3:16,36

We are all created in the image of God

When God made you He made something special, with a unique purpose and plan for your life.

Jeremiah 29:11

The Church

The church is the place where people find love, acceptance, and forgiveness.

Psalm 133:1-3

Salvation

We believe that the only way of salvation and the forgiveness of sins are through the Blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross. Salvation is a gift from God and cannot be earned through our own efforts. Salvation happens when people place their Faith in the crucifixion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ as the sufficient and only payment for their sins.

Hebrews 9:24-28, Romans 1:16-18, Revelation 3:20

READY TO MAKE THE DECISION?

“Dear Lord Jesus, I admit that I’ve fallen short. I’ve sinned and need your forgiveness. I believe that You lived, died, and rose again so that I could be connected to God. I confess you as my Lord and commit my life to You. I give you my past, present, and future. Take my life and use it. I give it to You. Amen.”

SAID YES TO SALVATION??

Congratulations on your decision to follow Jesus Christ; this is the best decision you will ever make!

Now that you are saved, Jesus invites you to experience new life. 2 Corinthians 5:17 assures us that If any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Though we are imperfect people we serve a perfect God, and He’s granted us the ability every day to progress in our faith and grow in our relationship with Him.
